My devotion.

A teacher taught us in science class, that all matter was created within the fussion reaction of a star. As the lighter molecules fused together they the hydrogen atoms created Helium and than gradually denser matter, such as carbon or lead. The byproduct of this process, light and heat energy warms the earth and causes all things to grow.

From Star Dust you were born and to Star Dust you will return.

On a PBS show, the power of intention. Gwen Dyer mentions that all tiny particulate matter, just as our universe, is made up of mostly, 99% empty space and between those small and large sytems, mostly more just empty space. So not only are we made up of tiny particles of star dust but we are mostly just empty space in between… This is a reminder that it is Gods will, and Gods light that creates us and causes us to grow, in many ways. We are nothing but this little bits of Star DUst and like the stars and planets, we have a cycle of life and death… Gods word and will is the light of all things, creates all things. We could worship the light or the darkness but only the light can make things grow and the light is everywhere. In all corners of the universe… Gods word is the light and we are also called to be the light because we were created in Gods Image. (you are the light of the world.)

Turn away from sin, and be faithful to the Gospel.

We are all sinners but we are also called to be the light and turn away from sin. If God knows everything. He knows when we pray silently in our rooms. Just as well as when we pray outloud in CHurch but when we pray outloud in church, we show others how much we love God and Jesus and the holy Spirit.

Matthew 6: 1 - 6, 16 - 18 1 "Beware of practicing your piety before men in order to be seen by them; for then you will have no reward from your Father who is in heaven. 2 "Thus, when you give alms, sound no trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may be praised by men. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. 3 But when you give alms, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, 4 so that your alms may be in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you. 5 "And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by men. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. 6 But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you. 16 "And when you fast, do not look dismal, like the hypocrites, for they disfigure their faces that their fasting may be seen by men. Truly, I say to you, they have received their reward. 17 But when you fast, anoint your head and wash your face, 18 that your fasting may not be seen by men but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you.
