I know the annulment process is frustrating for many. Now it is for me. I was just told by the tribunal judge whether or not my marriage would be nullified for defectiveness now depends on getting testimony from a laicized priest, who does not want to be contacted for various legitimate and possible legal reasons.

If Catholics have the right to be married by a person who is authorized to perform the marriage, shouldn’t the burden of proof be on the Church to show that there is some evidence?

In my case, neither the parish, the tribunal, or my baptismal certificate have any writing that I was married.

All I can think of, is to pray that this difficulty can be charitably resolved either at the tribunal level, or by the legitimate compassion of the liaised priest.
