I don’t know anything about this order.

Has anyone had any contact with them? I thought I read somewhere that John Paul ll organized them…or was involved in their beginning or something.

Any info about them?

Technically it is not an order. They don’t take religious vows.

My understanding is that the society was founded when some members of the schismatic Society of St. Pius X came back into communion with Rome.

Fraternitas Sacerdotalis Sancti Petri (FSSP)

Read what is says on their site:
The Priestly Fraternity of St. Peter is a Clerical Society of Apostolic Life of Pontifical right, that is, a community of Roman Catholic priests who do not take religious vows, but who work together for a common mission in the world. The mission of the Fraternity is two-fold: first, the formation and sanctification of priests in the cadre of the traditional liturgy of the Roman rite, and secondly, the pastoral deployment of the priests in the service of the Church.

I’ve been on thr site, but it didn’t have alot under the vocations section.

Thanks for the replies.

You can always e-mail the Vocations Director of your area for more information 😉

These guys are elite. They are the premier traditionalist group - I envy all who go to their seminary. Check them out - but from what I hear there are so many vocations to them that there is a 3 year waiting list to get in and you need a 2 year degree. Oh how I wish I could join them…

Lets not forget the ICKSP shall we 🙂 And well FSSP + ICKSP = Templars of the Liturgy.

I have been to several of their apostalates where the Holy sacifice of the Mass is offered, and they are offered with love and beauty. I felt very comfortable there and I hope one day to live in a lace where I can be a parishoner where they pray the Mass…but now, I have to live far away at this silly college 😦

When I went to confession, I would say it was the most relaxed and peaceful I have felt and I was appreciative that the FSSP priest took the time to tell me the truth and where to go from there.

I suppose every order has its own charism and I would say that theirs is reverence, tradition and liturgy…all this and a very educated humble priest…
Yes…a gift from Heaven…through His Church and the Pope.

They are the Non Schismatic TLM followers… LOL

I know that they have given indult to celebrate TLM anywhere they like.
