Hey did anyone in here attend the Fullness of Faith conference in Corpus Christi, TX?

If so, what were your thoughts on the entire experience? Who were your favorite speakers?

Speakers at the Conference:
Fr. John Corapi
Fr. Mitch Pacwa
Tim Staples
Rosalind Moss ← supposed to come, but unfortunately couldn’t make it

They were all really great speakers… I enjoyed them all and they definitely made the weekend well worth it. Father Corapi did a long series of talks on the Power of the Eucharist and Father Pacwa did a series of talks on Islam and the Quran. Tim Staples did very good talks, too, incorporating a lot of humor along with them.

I can’t wait til they come back again next year, and this time the conference will be held at the American Bank Center in town, which facilitates WAY more people than the Ramada downtown, where it was this year.

There was Holy Hour at the end of the day, which I heard was really beautiful… I couldn’t stay cause I was so tired and couldn’t concentrate since I came straight from work.

Again, I can’t wait til next year’s conference. Corpus Christi has been aching for a huge Catholic conference… it used to be that this conference was only offered in Houston, which I never got a chance to go and see since it was a ways away. There were a lot of people there at this years conference; they’re hoping for at least 10,000 next year. I’m just spreading the word! It’s supposed to go on in March - April of next year, so be on the lookout for future announcements!

We say yes to all of it…My wife and I were there for the whole thing. We went for Pacwa, Staples, and Corapi, and were certainly not disappointed-they all inspired. Eric Genuis was also very good with cantoring/keyboard.

But, our surprise highlight had to be Michael John Poirier, with his melodic guitar and quite folk style, leading us in Eucharistic Adoration! He was amazing for us… almost brought back memories of Medjurgorge…we had not heard him before.

The only negative was:
At the height of events, there were way too many people to be comfortable. When the MC keeps announcing that the restaurants across the street don’t mind if we use their restrooms, you know it’s stretched the hotel’s limits!

We encourage those anywhere nearby to book it for next spring!
GOD BLESS US ALL!

Yeah I went… oh oops! that’s right! I went with you! 😉 I love you 🙂

Is there a good web site that shows the Catholic conferences that are available in the US throughout the year? I would like to attend something but rarely see any in my area. Thanks!

Right now i’m not sure of any websites that show Catholic conferences… other members on this forum may know. If there are barely any good Catholic speakers that visit your area, you may want to bring that up with your parish priest. The Corpus Christi diocese hasn’t had very many good Catholic conferences until recently. We were really blessed to have the Fullness of Faith conference make a visit to Corpus Christi this year… and next year! Perhaps your own home parish can pay for a speaker from Catholic Answers or St. Joseph’s to come and speak at your church. Corpus Christi has already had Patrick Madrid, Jess Romero, Michael Cumbie, Alex Jones, and the slew of excellent Catholic speakers at this past conference… all in 2 years! You should definitely try to push for a small conference at your own Church, with at least one speaker. The entire parish community (and surrounding parishes) will learn a great deal of information about their faith 🙂

If I find a link in the future, I’ll let you know and post it on this site.
