I just refound my first religous book, Your Life is Worth Liveing: A Christian Philosophy of Life By Fulton J. Sheen. I remeber how much I loved the book (and his old show which I try to catch on EWTN now and then) but, I was wondering if anyong knew of any other good theological tretise kind of books (like the before mentioned book) that he has written? Thanks and God bless.

The Seven Words of Jesus and Mary is excellent. It compares our Lord’s seven last words on Calvary with the seven words of Mary in the bible. Its very short (95 pages), but you can take your time to meditate on what he says. I like to read it during Lent.

the priest is not his own is very eye-opening as to what a priest should be and what the priesthood is all about. very good. also reading “world’s first love” a book about Mary. not very ‘theological’ persay, but a very excellent, logical and reasonable explanation for marian doctrine and the state of the world.
fulton sheen rules, by the way 🙂

There are probably way more; these are just the ones I have myself…
My favorite is The World’s First Love, which is the best book on the Blessed Mother Mary that I have ever read…I am seriously considering getting a second copy, so I can keep this one from falling into a pile of tatters.
You can’t go wrtong with him; he was one of the most amazing people of the 20th Century!!
