Yes, in my opinion, trying to put yourself in someone else’s shoes is almost always a worthwhile effort, if done with a willingness to step out of your own comfort zone and see things from another’s perspective

Why else would you do it? as a nurse we were taught to have emphany, to emphasize.
We all need to have and get compassion from others. It keeps us from judging others in my opinion.
 
I had a history teacher who used to say: “There’s a reason and there’s a REAL reason.”

The problem with finding the real reason behind someone’s beliefs and actions is that most people are pretty good at fooling even themselves about who they are and what motivates them. We are pretty good at deceiving ourselves about ourselves…it takes concerted effort, time and experience to peel away the layers which hide the true self…
