The lawyer sent the paperwork to the judge and I yesterday. They now have the number at $227 more than I pay now. So, a total of $327 a month, plus health insurance which is currently $698 a month and will go up in a couple weeks and the $100 to the kids in Upstate, NY. With the above numbers added together that is $1125 going out to the kids and then add taxes. Probably around 250 a month for those. That is a huge chunk of money from gross pay that is about $2266 a month at my current rate.
I was giving her part of my tax refund the last few years. I have given her $4300 from that. I will no longer do that. She has a greater income than me now at close twice the net income per month and she doesn’t work for it. It’s handed to her because of her MS. Not downing her for it, just making a point on why she won’t be getting extra help from me anymore. I gave her extra help and it wasn’t enough for her. She wanted more and more. I won’t go above what I am legally obligated to do from this point forward.
I know that sounds bitter and it may come off that way, but I’m not being bitter. Just no longer going to let her take advantage of me any longer.
