It isn’t a common topic here, but I want to make sure all of you are aware of the TC mod’s announcement which includes a consequence of immediate closure of your account if you discuss traditional Roman Catholicism between today and November 10. Don’t want to see any of you accidentally discovering it the hard way! 🙂

If you have any questions or concerns about it, you can contact Jo Benedict by PM. If you have questions about the implications on the EC forum, which I expect to be minimal, you can contact me by PM.
Temporary Closure of TC Forum
The Traditional Catholicism forum will be closed for two weeks, from October 27-November 10.
During that time, please do not discuss ANY subjects relating to traditional Roman Catholicism on any of the other forums on CAF. Any violations of this ban, by any member, will mean the permanent closure of that person’s account.
Questions or concerns about this closure should be directed to the attention of the TC forum’s moderator Jo Benedict by private message or by email at forumadmin@catholic.com. Such questions should not be discussed publicly, including in the Concierge Desk. Public posts on the closure will also subject members who violate this ban to a permanent closure of their account.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

What exactly is considered ‘discussing traditional catholicism’?

Discussing the issues specific to those attached to pre-Vatican II expressions of Roman-rite Catholicism.

Please view this thread as an announcement only. Do not use it to question the action. Questions should be made privately by private message or email. Thanks.

nevermind… on second thought I decided not to post that… which is just great, really, when Catholics are afraid to discuss Catholicism on a Catholic forum.

This counts as publicly questioning the action, which violates the ban. Fair warning.

**Even the Pope allows himself to be publicly question without getting upset and warning people.

Too bad some people can’t show the same forbearance.**
