Hello everyone,

I’m so surprised and thankful! A while back I was so worried about my secular relatives visiting me and my ‘holy house’ filled with a good portion of sacred art and some other nice things. Well I got a treat from the Blessed Mother I believe that just makes everything great! and is better than all the sacred art in the house put together.

You see I planted some petunias and marigolds out front of my house like in april. They were already started for me so they were a few inches high. I have a large (about hip high) statue of Our Lady of Lourdes also out front among the flowers. I decided to plant from seed some other flowers in about April. I didn’t know at the time if the seed flowers sprouted or not because several weeds crept into my garden, so every now and then I weed out the garden of everything that wasn’t flowering leaving only the petunias and marigolds and Rodedendrens and Mary of course. Well I did the weeding out again yesterday and low and behold one flower from seed survived 2 weedings! Now I put these seeds all over, in front of Mary, 6ft from Mary, everywhere along the front flowerbed of the house and I weeded everywhere too. Well yesterday when I weeded I found one lone flower, a pinkish orange Zinnia, I think, with a yellow center. It had grown at least a few inches left of center of where Mary was. It had grown along the ground to perhaps a fraction of an inch off from the percise midpoint of where the Mary statue is and then it made a left turn moving toward the statue slightly and then it grew straight up! Wow! Now that’s SACRED ART but of divine nature I’d like to think. I wanted to take a picture and send it to the Vatican but I thought they were busy so I thought you all would be the next best thing. 😃

And the party with all my relatives coming over is next week so hopefully the Zinnia will still be alive.

I wish my garden were so blessed. We live across the street from a forest preserve and this year a deer has been treating our back yard as its own personal buffet. It ate my lilies, roses, impatiens, moss roses, bean blossoms, tomato plants, hostas… Why don’t they eat crabgrass?

Happy2BCatholic-

Your thread was a real help to me. I also had relatives visit and had similar concerns as you. The replies to your thread were a real comfort to me during the visit. And all well fine. 🙂

Hoping yours does also!!

Remember, share the Gospel always, and use words when necessary.

Hello IMAbeliever. Thanks for your reply. I’m glad my thread was a help. My party is this weekend and the flower is still in bloom! Yeah!
