Hi all,

I was digging and believe treasure has been found. This had to be shared as I have been a lurker here for about 8 years. DNA kept running through my mind. Why on earth is this running through my mind? What is the connection for the serpent, the garden, the trees, the couple and DNA? The garden of Eden story is telling us something. The garden of Eden story is a reoccurring theme in all the creation stories. Only it has a change of characters and even the name of the place. Once I started to break the story down here is what happened.
Tree of Life- Earth, God, nourishment, Wisdom
Eve-mother of all living, bear children- XX chromosomes
Adam-man/humankind, work the earth-XY chromosomes
Tree of knowledge-Connection, bridge CATG
Serpent- DNA, cycle of life, circle of life
Adam-knowledge-Eve-wrap the serpent around all three and what picture comes up
The bronze serpent. The caduceus.
The Double Helix DNA
Double Helix DNA is found in plants animals and humans.
Look at the double helix DNA. The double helix DNA is wavy like a snake and has lines like a ladder. I had been wearing it for 20 years on my uniform with a big fat D. The D was removed when the dental and medical technicians merged. It is from Asclepius. His staff only had one serpent. The Greek god of medicine and healing. This symbol is widespread and is represented by one snake or two snakes. There is another one the staff of Hermes. This staff has two snakes and is associated with trickery.
The Hebrew alphabet has 20 letters. There are 20 amino acids which are the basic building blocks of all life.

Lets look to ancient Egypt the cosmic serpent, provider of attributes. Underneath the dual snakes head is an ankh. A cross with a oval shape on top. It says something along the lines of the key to life is under the second snakes chin. Tilt your chin to your chest. What is your chin touching/pointing to? Your heart. Your heart pumps blood but we also equate the heart with love. The key of life, the tree of life matches the greatest commandments. To love your God with all your heart, soul and mind and to love your neighbor. God gave all of creation this commandment. God is the key to life, the tree of life.

The cross is widespread only coming in different styles. The cross was a sign for all of us to look for. We had to look for someone who completed the circle, completed the cycle. Mithra didn’t. Krishna didn’t. Jesus did! Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. I am the Alpha and Omega. The beginning and the end. The first and last letters of the Greek Alphabet. The circle of life is complete. His words “It is finished.”

This is a wonderful piece of treasure. My heart is singing joyously.

I can’t find the picture on the internet. Here is my reference.

It seems Mr Narby may have received his ideas in a drug induced state.I do not know if I would trust any of these weird ideas as they sound very new age, something Catholics avoid.Personally I try to adhere to the Bible, the catechism, and the writings of the saints.

I just wanted to ask you why you think God is the tree of life? In the garden after the fall God set Cherubim guarding the way to the tree. That makes no sense .

I acknowledge your concerns about the author. The reference was the picture that I saw.

God sustains life. It is also used symbolically for Jesus.
Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written: Cursed is every one that hangeth on a tree.

I would like to correct this to the following: The Hebrew alphabet has 22 letters. There are 22 amino acids which are the basic building blocks of all life.

Yeah, something strange about that interpretation of the Garden. Has strong “Cosmic Christianity” and Anthroposophical overtones.
