'Gay' Catholic Mass to be televised

This has to be one of the most outrageous things I have ever read. I just don’t get how this could be possible. As much as I love St. Ignatius, I have had nothing but disappointing experiences with the Jesuits. Let us pray for their conversion.

You know something like you think would lead to a drop in orthodox seminarians heading to the Jesuits. Something like this though would encourage me to join to try and make a difference in the order. Same reason I am planning to attend a public college now, to try and make a difference in somewhere where I can hopefully with God’s grace make a difference. Pray for the Jesuits and for the priest hosting this.

I had the misfortune to live in Sin Francisco for many years and the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence were a constant thorn in the side of the church. Many of them had sexually suggestive names linked with “Sister”. They would sashay up and down the streets (in full traditional habit of course, and wearing outrageous rouge and lipstick), passing out condoms, saying the most sexually suggestive and outrageous things, and just being generally obnoxious. They did things that were especially tasteless on Easter. When we Catholics complained we were told we were being “bigots” and not inclusive. Every time we would complain, people threatened to take us to the city’s Human Rights Commission, the groups of nazis, er, I mean, city appointees who enforce the rights of the downtrodden people on the margins like the good Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence. It made me sick. The day I left SF was the happiest day of my life. I keep telling myself that one day the big earthquake is gonna hit…

Hey, not all Jesuits are bad–Fr. Mitch Pacwa is a Jesuit, I think.

This gay thing is unbelievable though.

Kind of puts me in mind of the thing I posted elsewhere about how this group is using state funds at a university to put on a play that’s billed as a “gay fantasia.” I don’t think a state funded university would allow a “Catholicy mystological play” to be produced though–but they’re fighting tooth and nail to keep the gay show going.

I can’t understand why gays (or anyone for that matter) want to change the Catholic faith into something it’s not.

One reason is they want to feel their behavior is not sinful and they hate having the ubiquitous Catholic Church telling them otherwise. They want to remove their consciences so they can do whatever and feel good the next morning. They seek liberation but continue to imprison themselves further and further. Only Christ can liberate. They want to be their own god, their own highest authority. Nothing new here.

Let us continue to pray in a loving way for those battling homosexuality and especially those who have capitulated and are in a free fall. They see our prayer as patronizing and sanctimonious. This is not what the Church is about. In fact, we need their prayers also. And let us pray for priests who condone or openly endorse this behavior, which constitutes direct and willful disobedience of the Church’s Magisterium and leads souls astray. And let us pray for bishops and superiors who, being in a leadership position to make a difference, choose to remain silent.

About the BBC, a part of me wonders why the BBC would broadcast a gay Catholic mass in the United States of all places. Is their agenda to show - or should I say “spin” - to the Archbishop of Canterbury or any ticked off Anglican/Episcopalian that even the Roman Catholics are be accepting of the gay lifestyle?

The BBC is well known for its anti Catholic bias and last year used one of its flagship shows to attack the current Pope
(panarama).The sad fact is that if you own a television in the UK you have to by law pay a license fee to the BBC:(
 
I just have a few words for them. The words from Jesus himself.

**Just a thought. Why not send an e-mail to the BBC here in the US and in England. Get others from your parish to do the same. Talk to your Priest and Bishop as well. Spread the word, find out the sponsors of the program and write to them also. It starts with us! **
