This would be true if it were merely a human institution. And there have been times when the humans in the Church have done wrong.

But the Church is guided by the Holy Spirit, who is infallible. This is our guarantee that, despite all human foibles, the Church is not wrong on matters of faith and morals.

I’ll be the first person to say objective truth isn’t up to the majority vote. But as far as* knowing* where objective truth stands, I think most educated people will throw thier wager in with the side that has the better reasoning. “Because the Bible says so” just isn’t going to work anymore. The Natural Law argument will become the only real argument against homosexuality - but I have a feeling educated Christians will begin to see through that one as well, as mainstream psychology already has.

The Church has never ignored “it”, whatever the “it” is to which you obliquely refer. The Church has always applauded the heroic efforts of persons to overcome this disorder. The disorder itself is a scurge upon society which entraps many. Those who overcome are great inspirations to the rest of it that all sin, even one that clings so closely as this disordered lust, can be overcome. We honor those who overcome and lament and pray for those who try and fail. We condemn those who call this form of lust a “gift of God” and the succumbing to it an exercise of that gift.

The truth is simple and does not confuse. Those who promote evil actions always try to confuse. Cling to the truth.

Your opinion contradicts how Jesus singularly identifies Himself with the Church?
