I’ve been a member of this site for less than a week and I find it very interesting, I’m more of a reader/viewer than an active participant however so I thought I would offer a topic that may invigorate some.
Here in the UK this week, there has been something of an outrage, mainly amongst feminists and equality-advocates it would seem on the evil issue of abortion, but specifically because of it’s gender-basis. Reports show that ‘communities’ (I read that, rightly or wrongly as code for Muslims) are far more likely to have an abortion if their early screening shows their baby is going to be a girl.
Whilst I’m disgusted with any abortion, for a moment I saw this as an opportunity to say to those who are appalled that people would wish to discriminate between male and female in the ultimate fashion (murder) that life itself is what is so important, and if they have such a problem with abortion on a gender basis, should they not reconsider their position on abortion all together—because sadly, I fear those who are ‘outraged’ also support abortion to some extent. The outrage seems to stem entirely on the fact that baby girls are being terminated rather than human life. I wondered what people thought we could do to maybe ‘use’ this situation to the pro-life’s advantage.
