I have never heard of general revelation, but I have heard of public revelation as opposed to private revelation. According to the CCC paragraph 66:
“The Christian economy, therefore, since it is the new and definitive Covenant, will never pass away; and no new public revelation is to be expected before the glorious manifestation of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
So I think that may answer your question.

I think the poster meant public revelation, as opposed to private revelation.

I really did mean general revelation. I got the term general revelation from my son’s theology class at St. Louis University and Rm.1:19-22, and Michell Arnold post from August 20, 2004 either in Apologetics or Ask an Apologist.

My son is telling me general revelation is revealed through creation. I don’t think this the total answer.http://forums.catholic-questions.org/images/icons/icon14.gif

If it is revealed* through creation*, it is not really revelation. It sounds more like natural law–the truths about creation and its creator which are discoverable through observation of nature.
