Deliver your people from contraceptive imperialism by which self-indulgence is preferred to large families. Lord have mercy for the grave sin of contraception by which the evangelization of the world is impeded. Meanwhile, Islamic families have five, six, seven eight or more children. What a travesty contraception is. Only the Catholic Church teaches clearly the evil of contraception, yet this generation of Catholics worldwide have been co-opted by the zeitgeist, the evil spirit of the age. May Catholics and all Christians reject contraception which replaces the beauty of a large family and the untold benefits that each new life brings into the world with mere indulgence in a higher standard of living.

Lord reveal to your people the utter evil of contraception. Let your people rather practice resonsible parenthood and natural family planning. Help all to know the divorce rate of those who practice natural family planning is almost nothing, whereas those who practice contraception, even if they are practicing their faith in other ways, have the same divorce rate of secular society. Contraception fosters divorce, hedonism and an overall diminishment of the number of God’s people who have the benefit of being raised in families of faith and values. Lord have mercy!

The selfishness of ‘small families’ (only one or two children) is causing the shrinking % of Americans and American culture. Our great increase in Other Culture new workers immigrants has resulted in far greater numbers of children in their families. The Problem is our personal selfishness. And Artificial Birth Contril has been proven resoundingly to be Chemically, personally, and Illness promoting. The Ideal Catholic Taught to Married Couples NFP is the More Romantic, 100% efficient Naturall abstention During the Lady’s most fertile days. Again, Our Lord/Our Church’s way most ideal: Naturally.

I don’t think correlation=causation with the contraception/divorce issue. People who practice NFP tend to be FAR more religious and obedient to the Church and hence, will of course have lower divorce rates. If you took a non-religious family who uses NFP, I imagine that their divorce rates aren’t much different from the average family. I find these kinds of statements to be misleading.

It’s the Culture, not single item NFP practise. And I bet non-Catholics Using NFP Prove they care/Love/respect their spouse/mate a lot more, automatically resulting in fewer divorces. Isn’t sefishness, Self-centeredness The Main Cause of Divorces?🍿

Hmmm…I guess I don’t really see how NFP=respect or love for one’s spouse any more than ABC does. Both are just ways of not getting pregnant, NFP just requires a lot more work and forethought on the part of the woman.

“The use of NFP acts as glue and keeps the marriage together and on track. NFP teachers are liable to promote NFP as a way to keep marriages healthy. NFP leaders reported that the percentage of users getting divorced was minuscule compared to the general population rate of about 50%.”

We listen to one who has known both contraception and NFP:

Five years ago, I was a pro-choice, pro-homosexual “rights” atheist who had had terrible side-effects on the Pill and Depo. A devoutly Catholic friend loaned me The Art of NFP. My initial motives for reading the book were to learn the method and practice it. I had no interest at all in the moral theology. In fact, the first several months we used NFP, we also used condoms . . . we honestly didn’t trust the method. As soon as we saw three charts where my body did what the book said it would, we threw away the condoms and used “pure” NFP.

Eventually I found myself reading the theology chapters and to be honest, it just made sense to me. I had spent years being used by men and degrading myself sexually and I believe there was just something in my soul that yearned for the noble vision of sexuality presented in the book. I simply had never heard that sex was supposed to be anything more than recreational and I was intrigued by the idea. It sounded a lot better than the “use and be used” mantra I was reading in Cosmo or hearing among my peers.

When I chose to be an NFP teacher myself, I specifically did NOT want to use a curriculum that was overtly Catholic. I believe the Theology of the Body is universal and I wanted a curriculum that would allow me to present the truth in universal terms in a way that would appeal to even the most secularized heart. I strongly believe in meeting people where they are: if I’m speaking to a Catholic audience, I cite encyclicals, the Theology of the Body, the Catechism, etc. If it’s a Protestant group, they get Scripture. If it’s a secular group, they get a talk about the “communion of persons” and “total self-giving and acceptance.” Each group gets the Catholic faith, but only the Catholics get the present with the obviously Catholic wrapping paper.

“When a woman takes the commonly used contraceptive pill the effect in 97 or 98% of the cases is to prevent pregnancy. But, in perhaps two or more percent of the time, the effect is abortifacient. ” This is a scientific fact well demonstrated in Randy Alcorn’s book entitled Does the Birth Control Pill Cause Abortions? Thus those who have departed from the teaching of the Church on contraception may have unknowingly killed their own children when they were at their most vulnerable stage of life.

Love is defined as a fundamental YES to the existence of the beloved. Cf. Josef Pieper, Faith, Hope, Love Trans. Mary Frances McCarthy (San Francisco, CA: Ignatius Press, 1986) 170: “What love is really about is the power to sustain existence (keeping the beloved in being; conferring the right to exist; giving existence; and even annulment of death and mortality. . . . For what the lover gazing upon his beloved says and means is not: How good that you are so (so clever, useful, capable, skillful), but: it’s good that you are; how wonderful that you exist.”

What is contraception? First of all it is a NO to fertility which is not something a woman has, but something she is, therefore contraception is a fundamental NO to the woman. Secondly, contraception is a fundamental NO to the potential existence of the child. Therefore, this fundamental NO, inserted into the most intimate expression of conjugal love, contradicts the very nature of love, the YES to the existence of the other, and as such will inexorably erode the love between any husband and wife who practice contraception. However, if couples would at least investigate NFP to try to find out why the divorce rate is so much lower for couples who do not use contraception, their marriage may not become a statistic; rather they are much more likely to find happiness is a loving and stable relationship.
Sexuality and marriage are like the fire and hearth. Fire is powerful and because of this it can be dangerous, yet as long as it is contained within the proper limits of the fireplace, it brings warmth and light. However, if that fire somehow got outside of its proper limits, the house would begin to catch fire and that which illumined and warmed the house would become a source for its destruction. In the same way, sexuality, when it is practiced within the proper limits of marriage, which God instituted from the beginning, is a source of great charity and fruitfulness, even to the degree that it is an image of Christ’s unfailing love for His bride the Church. All men and women must be careful, however, that the fire of their sexuality, which has great potential for good, is not exercised outside of the rules and context of marriage that God has set up.
When we abandon the truth of love, especially conjugal love, and reduce our goals to merely maximizing pleasure and minimizing pain, we lose who we are. Hell, which is a state of existence without love or freedom, begins now. Addiction and moral anarchy rule.

“What about homosexuality? Our culture is impotent to resist the ‘gay agenda’ because we have already accepted its basic premise with contraception – the reduction of sex to the exchange of pleasure. When openness to life is no longer an intrinsic part of the sexual equation, why does sexual behavior have to be with the opposite sex?” (Christopher West “Humanae Vitae: an Inspiration for John Paul II” at

“Contraception cannot be an expression of total self-giving because in contraception, something is done to oneself to destroy the power to conceive a child. That same selfishness that wants to prevent the child by contraception will grow until it wants to kill the child already conceived. We must fight selfishness with a true, generous and sacrificing love. . . . The way to plan the family is natural family planning, not contraception.”

Source: Mother Teresa of Calcutta, “Grapevine,” Life Advocate, March 1994, page 4.

The nature of human sexuality calls for the total gift of self which manifests itself in a lifelong commitment to serve the welfare of one’s spouse and children (cf. Second Vatican Council: Gaudiem et Spes, 48: “By its very nature the institution of marriage and married love is ordered to the procreation and education of the offspring and it is in them that it finds its crowning glory. . . . The intimate union of marriage, as a mutual giving of two persons, and the good of the children demand total fidelity from the spouses and require an unbreakable unity between them.”)

The Catholic Church’s rejection of contraception reflects a simple yet profound truth: The value of the person is always greater than the value of pleasure. Indeed the only proper and adequate response to the person is love; a person may never be used as a means to an end.
“Each and every marriage act must remain open to the transmission of life.” “Any use whatsoever of matrimony exercised in such a way that the act is deliberately frustrated in its natural power to generate life is an offense against the law of God and of nature, and those who indulge in such are branded with the guilt of a grave sin.”

When couples, by means of recourse to contraception, separate these two meanings (the unitive and procreative) that God the creator has inscribed in the being of man and woman and in the dynamism of their sexual communion, they act as ‘arbiters’ of the divine plan and they ‘manipulate’ and degrade human sexuality and with it themselves and their married partner by altering its value of ‘total’ self-giving.

Thus the innate language that expresses the total reciprocal self-giving of husband and wife is overlaid, through contraception, by an objectively contradictory language, namely, that of not giving oneself totally to the other. This leads not only to a positive refusal to be open to life, but also to a falsification of the inner truth of conjugal love, which is called upon to give itself in personal totality.

When instead, by means of recourse to periods of infertility, the couple respects the inseparable connection between the unitive and procreative meanings of human sexuality, they are acting as ‘ministers’ of God’s plan and they ‘benefit from’ their sexuality according to the original dynamism of ‘total’ self-giving, without manipulation or alteration.

I disagree: (1) NFP Is Knowing the fertility of the Wife, based on most accurate, natural fertility Testing taught in NFP. It shows much more Respect for his wife, her womanhood, not just useing her. ❤️:hug3: (2) Catholic NFP is simple Woman’s Testing her fertility. Nothing complicated. (3) And being a man: far more romantic, especially the several days waiting. (4) The Church knows the best, totally Moral way to 100% sure avoid pregnancy now. No other system is 100% foolproof, successful; nor natural.

Thanks for sharing, and finding The Truth Church, which has/teaches the ideal truths for any problems.

Hail Mary, full of grace. The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou amongst women,
and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Our Father, Who art in heaven,
Hallowed be Thy Name.
Thy Kingdom come.
Thy Will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven. Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses,
as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil. Amen.

Hail Mary,
Full of Grace,
The Lord is with thee.
Blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary,
Mother of God,
pray for us sinners now,
and at the hour of death. Amen.

Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now,
and ever shall be,
world without end. Amen.

**Dearest Lord,
teach me to be generous;
teach me to serve You as You deserve;
to give and not to count the cost,
to fight and not to heed the wounds,
to toil and not to seek for rest,
to labour and not to ask for reward
save that of knowing I am doing Your Will.

Amen.**
