When entering a Catholic Church, most of us will genuflect towards the altar or the tabernacle either on entry to the main body of the church or on entry to the pew…
My question is, what do people tend to do when the Blessed Sacrament is NOT reserved in the Tabernacle - for instance on Easter Saturday or after the Blessed Sacrament is reposed at the beginning of the Triduum? Do you simply bow to the altar or do you still kneel as usual? Or do you do nothing at all?
My instinct is to bow to the altar rather than genuflect when I know the Blessed Sacrament is not reserved. Am I right or should I be kneeling regardless?
