Geocentrism: why doesn't it just die and be done with?

Sungenis continued
As we will see many times in this book, the principles of General Relativity invariably
support a geocentric universe.
We can also answer the objection by noting that, although it is to our advantage to
use modern physics against itself as we do when we point out that General Relativity
permits a body to move faster than the speed of light, the celestial mechanics of
geocentrism, in fact, does not claim that the stars move faster than light.
Geocentrism says only that the universe rotates around the Earth once per day, and
in that rotation it carries the stars with it. Thus, compared to the universe within
which they are contained, the stars are not moving at all, save for their minuscule
independent movements.
Mechanically speaking, the rotation of the universe is an integral facet of the
geocentric system so as to act as a counterbalance to the inward pressure of gravity.
It just so happens that the centrifugal force created by a 24-hour rotation period
prohibits the stars and other material in the universe from collapsing inward (a
problem, incidentally, that Newton and Einstein recognized in their respective
universes, which Newton attempted to answer by opting for an infinite universe, and
Einstein by his infamous “cosmological constant,” neither of which provided an
adequate solution). An advocate of Relativity can raise no objections against
geocentrism’s rotating universe since Relativity sees no difference, or has no way to
distinguish between, a rotating Earth among fixed stars or stars that revolve around
a fixed Earth. The two are relativistically equivalent.

Personally, I am so disenchanted with modern science that I basically don’t believe any of it. I don’t believe the lieing scientists.
Excuse me, you shouldn’t be calling scientists liars. Gecentrism taught by you or Sungenis is outdated. Please don’t pursue this further or I will have to ask a moderator to help. Learn about the truth:

The ancients, of course, assumed the Earth was the center of the universe and everything–Sun, Moon and stars–revolved around it. The unnamed authors of the Book of Psalms thought so and wrote so in the bible, causing great grief to poor Galileo 2000 years later. A Greek scientist, Aristarchus of Samos, seemed to support it by estimating the distance of the Moon, a result confirmed by Hipparchus some 150 years later, by a different method.

Aristarchus went on to cleverly estimate the distance and size of the Sun: his conclusion was that the Sun was 20 times more distant than the Moon. He also found the Sun was 10 times bigger (in diameter, a bad underestimate) than Earth, and he then proposed that it, not Earth, was probably the center. However Hipparchus and Ptolemy objected. If the Earth went every year around such an ENORMOUS circle (we now know it is actually 20 times wider than what Aristarchus proposed!) wouldn’t the stars appear shifted when viewed from the opposite side of that circle? Since they did not seem to shift (“exhibit parallax”), they concluded the Earth did not move, and their view prevailed for 1500 years. Their argument was sound–they just did not realize how enormously distant the stars were!

Now except for the motion of the Moon (which Aristarchus essentially explained) there exist two sets of motions in the sky. The planets and the Sun change their position among the stars on the scale of years, and all celestial objects, stars included, rise, set and move across the sky with a period of about 24 hours. Today we explain the first by orbits around the Sun and the second by the rotation of the Earth around its axis, as Copernicus proposed in his book (1543). Yet it took many years to sink in.

The motion of the planets around the Sun was easily reconciled, because the bible made no pronouncements about it and the old method by Hipparchus and Ptolemy, representing the orbits of planets by “circles around circles” in the sky, was cumbersome and inaccurate. But the rotation of the Earth met resistance, because of those verses in Psalms. Tycho de Brahe around 1600 proposed a compromise, that all planets rotated around the Sun, but the Sun rotated around Earth every 24 hours–and the stars every 23 hours 56 minutes, causing the Sun’s position to migrate around them once a year.

Then came Galileo’s telescope, showing that Venus could be a crescent like the Moon, meaning it orbited the Sun, and that Jupiter was the center of a disk of little moons, the way Copernicus visualized all planets, even Earth, to orbit the Sun. That convinced most people. Then came Newton and derived his law of gravitation, using the Moon . His law suggested that if the Sun and other bodies rotated around the Earth, the gravity of the Earth was far too weak to hold them (plus other objections). That was the clincher: the laws of Newton’s mechanics (which we still use) did not allow geocentrism. Since then of course much more evidence arrived–satellites, Earth observations from the Moon, etc.
I wish to add a little more to the pot. From the National Earth Science Teachers Association (NESTA):

*The Earth’s Orbit

Like all planets in our solar system, the Earth is in an elliptical orbit around our Sun. In Earth’s case, its orbit is nearly circular, so that the difference between Earth’s farthest point from the Sun and its closest point is very small. Earth’s orbit defines a two-dimensional plane which we call the ecliptic.

It takes roughly 365 days for the Earth to go around the Sun once. This means that the Earth is rushing through space around the Sun at a rate of about 67,000 miles per hour! The time it takes for the Earth to go around the Sun one full time is what we call a year.

The combined effect of the Earth’s orbital motion and the tilt of its rotation axis result in the seasons. *

That’s find. I get that all the time. Nobody answers my arguments, they just go crying to the moderators. If truth is on your side then why can’t you argue it from your own mind and intellect instead of cutting and pasting other ideas rehashed from others.

Your first article from Dr. Hern is not proof. Its just a history lesson about the development of heliocentrism.

None of this has any bearing on the debate. Whether the earth orbits the sun on the ecliptic or whether the sun orbits the earth on the ecliptic makes no difference whatsoever. They are both entirely equivalent and produce the same effects of the annual progression of the seasons.

The fact that you, and the vast majority of high school level educated public don’t understand this is just one reason why I claim that scientists are lieing. They are presenting all the arguments to support their own heliocentric/acentric model and entirely obscuring all the arguments which favour a geocentric argument. To this day they still drag out ptolemy’s ancient geocentric model and have a big chuckle, and they never present Tycho Brahes model which is entirely equivalent to the heliocentric model of his student Keplar, who used all of Tycho’s measurements which he used to build his geocentric model to construct his own heliocentric model. Scientists won’t tell you this either because they are advancing a lie and obscuring the truth.

In true science and true education, all the arguments should be presented to the students so that each one can make their own choice. The biased and one sided anti-God approach of science and the school system darkens knowledge, obscures the truth, and is at the heart of the great lie which besets the entire world, the author of which is Satan, the god of this world, the father of liars.

We have lies in politics, business, global warming science, pharmaceuticals and in every field of human endeavour. Why should modern science be any different. Modern science is now an established industry which uses every trick and technique to maintain itself as any other industry, like the oil industry for example.
