Georgia Abortions Decrease 5 Percent Last Year After Educational Campaign

LifeNews.com) – New figures from the Georgia Department of Health reveal the number of abortions in the southeastern state is down more than 5 percent. Pro-life groups say the large decline is due to an aggressive television campaign helping women find alternatives.
According to health officials, abortions performed in Georgia fell by a stunning 5.3 percent from 2003. There were 32,708 abortions in 2004, down from 34,545 in 2003.
