German leaders wake up to shrinking population

That is one thing we noticed when we went to Germany for WYD was we didn’t see children out on the streets. It was very noticable. The only time I remember seeing children was when we walked past a school.

Everybody drove tiny, tiny cars too. Not a lot of room for a family.

Sad.
 
This subject was on my mind at the march for life. I kept thinking about how this event gets bigger every year. I guess that’s because pro-lifers procreate and pro-choicers eliminate. That means we’re growing faster! 👍
Hope Europe opens their eyes to the root of their problems before it’s too late. Does it take a genius to look at what is happening in China and figure out why? America better wake up too. I wonder if anyone grumbling about Social Security petering out think about why? :hmmm: Got to lay in the bed you make, right?
It’s so sad to see such devaluing of children in this world. Just sad. 😦

I wish we could just wait for the pro-aborts to contracept themselves into extinction, but evil feeds on good. This means they will poison our kids if they can and only if there’s no good left in the world will they turn in and destroy themselves.

Well, I think I may have a little more hope than that. All the big Catholic families I know are really preparing their children to face the world. If we properly equip our kids with knowledge, faith, and rosaries/scapulars, they will not falter. They will be strong bulwarks with the waters of the culture of death crashing against them and not even making them sway. Tough, Catholic kids are coming on the scene. Not like my pitiful generation. 😦

As they say, “Do the math.”

A lot of it is due to the taxation policies. People have very little spendable income after taxes, lots of social welfare, and there are few incentives for having children. There is lots of psycho-babble for small families and “save the earth”. There are psychological incentives for taking nice vacations and buying Mercedes motor cars. But not for having children.

Where is the Catholic clergy in all this?

Ahhh, perhaps we see a reason for our new German Pope? 🙂

But seriously, this is the case in many, many European nations and I fear the US is leaning towards this problem too. Of course, if you look in the family life forum, you will see how abuntantly Catholics are trying to re-populate 😉 !!
 
It will start to grow again as the Muslims become a major fraction of the population. 😉
 
They shall die off, and our children will inherit the earth.

Muslims, by the way, are just as atheistic as we are once their generation has ‘tasted’ the fruits of modern life, so to speak. Excess wealth corrupts the soul.
