Is is true that he is not in communion with the Holy See? I heard this somewhere… I find it hard to believe after listening to his conversion story.

Do you have a source document that we can read?It is my understanding that Gerry Matatics has embraced the view that Benedict XVI is not a validly elected pope.

Original text source: gerrymatatics.org/index.php?id=72In the meantime, I don’t believe in standing still or in wasting time waiting, so we’ll continue working with what we’ve got. A list of courses currently available at the Center appears below. The information in these various disciplines is crucial to decoding the current crisis, and to spiritually surviving the great apostasy with our Catholic Faith intact. This educational enterprise couldn’t be timelier: during this eventful year of 2005 *several *dramatic developments occurred, each of which has convinced me that the need for this Center, with the mission-critical data it can deliver, is now more urgent than ever.
I’ll elaborate on these aforementioned events in my next letter. Meanwhile, please consider coming to the St. Jerome Study Center and digging more deeply into your Catholic Faith with me. Your salvation, humanly speaking, might well depend upon it. As Pope St. Pius X, quoting his predecessor Benedict XIV, solemnly stated, “We declare that a great number of those who are condemned to eternal punishment suffer that everlasting calamity because of ignorance of those mysteries of faith which must be known and believed in order to be numbered among the elect” (Acerbo Nimis, paragraph 2, issued April 15, 1905). “My people perish for lack of knowledge,” was the way God put it in Hosea 4:6.
Satan works in many ways to deceive and destroy!!As for Gerry Matatics converting with the deliberate intention of destroying the Church, that is just patently ridiculous.
God bless,

Peace be with you!Is it possible that Gerry Matatics is actually a false convert to the Catholic Faith with the intention all along of getting inside just to try to destroy us?
That is the big problem with the schismatics. Those who really do not believe in invincible ignorance, yet have schismatic churches with an incredibly small membership. For instance, I am sure that “Pope Michael I” in Missouri believes in a very hardline stance of extra ecclesia nulla salus… which would mean everyone living right now is going to hell, with the exception of 10 people in Missouri.I wonder if Gerry considers those of us who follow Benedict XVI to actually be Catholic in his eyes? And are we even eligible for salvation if we don’t attend his courses at his St. Jerome Study Center and be indoctrinated by them?
Just a small correction: Pope Michael is located in Delia, Kansas! That is the big problem with the schismatics. His story seems to indicate he was a pretty militant anti-Catholic before his conversion. Maybe it’s just his way no matter which church he’s in.He is convinced that what he believes is what every Roman Catholic, and every person, ought to believe.
His apologetics, I suspect, will not go down in quality, as far as being convincing. But he will be less of a mainstream type guy. At least for a while.
