I have been out of the Catholic church since the 90’s . I want to know where do I start . I heard that you must make confirmation.? how do I go about that. I don’t remember the steps of sacrements ?
Not to nitpick but to clarify, but Machito, you can go to Mass at any time. What you may not do is receive the Eucharist until your status with the Church has been straightened out. In fact, I encourage you to return to attending Mass for all the benefits it will give you.If you have recieved confirmation go to confession, and tell the priest how long it has been since you’ve been to mass then after confession you should be free to return to mass unless you have circumstances (like not willing to give up adultry or wanting to still keep the hitman job) and the priest will inform you.
I completed the Baptism as a baby , Eucharist, I made my first communion at the age 7 .There are three sacraments of initiation. For those born in the Western church they are usually done:
Baptism (as a child) - Our initiation, our birth into God’s kingdom
Eucharist (Every Sunday, but start when you’re at the age of reason, about 7) - Being given the body, blood, soul and divinity of Christ
Confirmation (teenager) - The Holy Spirit strenghtens you with the gifts of the Holy Spirit for your upcoming battles in life
If you convert all three are recieved at the same time.
If you have been away from the church and havn’t recieved one of these sacraments of initiation (Confirmation ususally for those who leave as a teenager) talk to a priest and see what your parish has set up to minister to people in your situtation.

Your state must have a diocese that covers it. Contact them for the name of your nearest Catholic parish.I completed the Baptism as a baby , Eucharist, I made my first communion at the age 7 .
as of now I’m living in another state . I don’t have a church to attend to ? . I have not seen any where I live ? .
You can visit masstimes.org to find a parish near you. I use it when I go on vacation so that I don’t miss Mass. My husband and I even used it for our honeymoon in Canada!I completed the Baptism as a baby , Eucharist, I made my first communion at the age 7 .

You can just put in your zipcode, city or whatever and you will see a list of Catholic churches in your area. You can just call the number provided and just tell them you haven’t been to church in years and you would like to go through the right steps to participate fully. They will gladly help you out.
Good Luck and God Bless–Rebecca
Since you’ve received Baptism and first Communion, you can go to Reconciliation and begin receiving the Eucharist again.I completed the Baptism as a baby , Eucharist, I made my first communion at the age 7 .
