Good morning, I was searching on Amazon and this title came up and it interested me:

Christian Beginnings: From Nazareth to Nicaea by Geza Vermes

What are your thoughts on Geza Vermes? I am very interested in this era and want the best history of this time, is this author an acceptable resource?

thank you

No, he is absolutely not acceptable, if you are looking for something Catholic. Geza Vermes is an ex-priest with really messed up ideas. You can read it, but fasten your seat belt first.

That is what I was wondering about. I read his bio and flags jumped up, thank you.

Thank you for that. I was wondering when I read his bio and the flags jumped out.

I appreciate it.
