I am attending the profession of a dominican brother. Can anyone advise me as to what gift I can get him? Also what message i could put in a card? Thanks

How about offering a mass for him? They often give you a card when you book a mass at a parish. You would just have to fill out his name. Offering a mass kind of speaks for itself, but you could write that you are praying for his priestly ministry and well being

It’s no secret that Dominicans love great books.

My wife loves this book, and it’s really a great biography of St. Dominic. She’s also read this one and this one, her patron Saint being St. Catherine of Siena. I’m sure Brother would enjoy this book too.

Insofar as cards are concerned, how about a prayer to St. Dominic?
