For Christmas my husband has asked for some type of resource with all the Mass readings for 2020 available to him. Is there anything like this? Not a monthly publication like Magnificat, but a single source - maybe a book? - with all the readings for the year??

Thanks & happy Advent!

If price is not an issue the second option would be a great gift. 🤩

I bought my wife the Sunday version since she doesn’t typically do weekday Masses unless it is an HDO (which are included in the Sunday), but she loves the commentary for the readings and uses the Order of the Mass section and some of the prayers in the back post-communion and such. After I finish RCIA I might buy one for myself; the daily if I can afford it at the time. In the meantime I use iBreviary on my phone for the readings.

Oooooooh. I think this would be amazing. Maybe I can find it used on eBay or something… Does it have the new (Novus Ordo) translation of the Mass responses?!

The version I got is based on the Ordinary Form and uses the readings as published by USCCB, namely the NABRE translation. Not entirely sure about the commentary for each day’s readings, but I believe they are independently written based on the overall theme of the day rather than from the commentary within the NABRE itself for each selection.

I have been using my Midwest Theological Forum Daily Roman Missal for daily Mass for years, and I really like it. I don’t take it to Sunday Mass because I need the music section of the missalette. It isn’t cheap, but it’s kind of a once-in-a-lifetime buy.
Maybe I can find it used on eBay or something…
Just be careful to get a current version. According to their website, the current MTW missal is version 7.

Also, it’s a little late in the year, but I’ve found that church garage sales (and even public library book sales) are a great place to find this kind of book, and usually for $2 or $3.

I can’t remember the publisher but lectors use a Lector’s Handbook. It’s a big paperback workbook that has all the readings for every Sunday Mass and Holy Days as well. Maybe you can find something like that?
