My daughter received a small crucifix on a gold chain from her sponsor. She wore it to high school frequently.

My sponser was a Korean lady. She gave me an Irish rosary.

I’m coming in via baptism Saturday night. I am so excited. 
I personally want to give Jesus a gift, I’m looking for suggestions?
My sister is the only family member that supports me in this. She is not Catholic but Christian. She is driving 500 miles round trip for me. Please pray for her safety and blessing.
Would it be appropriate to give my priest(s) something like a dinner gift card? They were the primary teachers during RCIA.
My sponsor “can’t make it (not her fault)” so I have a “stand-in sponsor”. Would a gift card be appropriate?

the gift I suggest is a Daily Roman Missal for adults and teens entering the Church through RCIA or those being confirmed. Costs about $50 so a good gift for sponsors and family to give jointly. Most Catholic publishers have it. this is truly the last prayer book you will ever need. If the already have a Missal, a Shorter Christian Prayer for LOTH would be my next suggestion. This assumes they have already received a Bible, Catechism, Rosary and Crucifix as part of their instruction and the presentations during the process.

I am so excited and nervous at the sametime cuz I’ll be making my confirmation this saturday night. I’m thinking about giving my sponsor something but not sure what. Probably go to the catholic bookstore this week to find something nice to give her.

My sponser gave me a beautiful rosary with a lovely audio tape so I could learn the rosary while just following along. She even had the rosary blessed for me so I wouldn’t feel intimated going up and asking the Priest, which I did at the time.Does anyone have any gift ideas for an RCIA candidate? silly.Someone else in our goup recieve a very nice windchime. I would say anything that they can keep to always remind them of that very special day and you can’t go wrong.
