I’m traveling to a country that is 90% Oriental Orthodox, which is a Christian Church just as ancient as the Roman Catholic one.

While in the country, I wanted to get my friends (who most are very loyal Roman Catholics) these Oriental Orthodox cross pendants and necklaces that I’ve been seeing all over the place in my online research of the country and it’s famous open air markets.

Very elaborate and beautiful pieces of art!

Anyway, would it cause any sort of angst, problems, or offense if these pendants were originally purposed for a different form of Christianity?

I can only speak for myself, but I am Catholic and I wouldn’t mind.

I don’t think most Catholics would mind. I wouldn’t. The Orthodox do have valid sacraments.
But if somebody refuses politely then don’t be mad at them.
