What is the Catholic Church’s view on gifts of the spirit? Do they believe that things like prophecy, tongues, healing, etc died out with the Apostles or that they continue on in the modern age? Thanks in advance for any replies!
 
the Catholic Charistmatic Renewal is an accepted approved form of spirituality and worship. please do a search. this is a much discussed topic on this forum, although most of what you will read on old posts is full of misinformation, personal opinion and prejudice based on some well publicized abuses or misunderstanding of the entire topic. but have some laughs and check out the old threads.

Revelation ended with Christ, and the recording of it ended with the death of the apostles.

However, we still have miracles (healing), tongues (St Padre Pio could hear confessions in languages he had never learned etc) and as for prophecy, God reveals certain things (private prophecy) to good and virtuous people in every age, such as Maria Esperanza. pdtsigns.com/betania.html
