In the 21st century of humankind, in the 2nd year of President Trump, at the height of the McCarrick scandal, the prophet Gioiah spaketh. I saw the Lord Jesus, high and exalted, seated on a throne; His grace and splendor filled the universe. Seraphim were quivering their wings calling one another:
“Holy, holy, holy is the Lord Jesus,
the whole universe is full of his grace.”
“Woe to me!” I cried. “I am ruined! For I am a man of unclean lips and I listen to bishops and cardinals of unclean lips and unclean minds and unclean hearts, still my eyes have seen the King, my Lord Jesus.” Then the King said, “See, my blood was shed; your guilt is taken away and your sin atoned for.” Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, “Whom shall I send? And who will go for the Kingdom?" I said, “Here am I. Send me!” He said, “Go and tell these prelates:
“‘Be ever hearing, but never understanding;
be ever seeing, but never perceiving.’
Make the heart of this people calloused;
make their ears dull
and close their eyes.”
Then Gioiah cried out, “For how long, my Lord?” And He answered:
“Until the cities lie ruined
and without inhabitant,
until the churches are left deserted
and the altars ruined and ravaged.
But as the terebinth and oak
leave stumps when they are cut down,
so the holy seed will be the stump in the land.”
