Does anyone know if Girl Scouts of America continues to be directly or indirectly involved with Planned Parenthood?

From what my understanding is, talking to others who have done more research, the national Girl Scouts office does not directly involve itself with Planned Parenthood, but that certain local organizations can and do. The problem with the national office is, then, they allow it. They do not reprimand the local orgs. practices or make policy against it. If I can get the website that lists the local groups that do contribute, I’ll post it.

Yes.

visit www.all.org for a listing. ALL asked all the troops to respond as to their affiliation with PP. ALL has identified troops as “yes”, “no”, and “did not respond” on their website.

Thanks for the site. I searched it & had trouble locating the list, however. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!

go to www.all.org, click on STOPP Planned Parenthood and then once on the STOPP page, type in Girl Scouts in the Search engine. then the article will come up, you can click on it and get the entire thing. Sorry it’s a little hard to find, it used to be a prominent link.

They did have a list of all councils, but it looks like they took it down b/c of the time involved in keeping it up to date. Many councils that were confronted changed their policies. I guess STOPP didn’t want to have to try to keep up with it. Instead, they’ve replaced it with the “council finder” and you can call the council yourself and ask.

From what I understand, the Girls Scouts were advised to “not respond” to ALL, especially if they were affiliated with Planned Parenthood.

God Bless
