Does anyone have the Rusyn lyrics to the hymn “Give Me your Body, O Christ”

I like this hymn. One of my favorites Greek Catholic hymns.

Welcome Katie. Do you suppose that I will ever learn the ancient hyms in their native language? I guess I will need to take a course.

Katie is a famous radio personality and University student. I’m glad to see her here.

No course necessary, Carson! What is necessary (IMHO) is to reintroduce these hymns, in our native tongue, back into our liturgical practices on a regular basis. Trust me - they and the language itself will become second nature to you, as they have for generations of others before us!

But, then again, this is admittedly a “pet cause” of mine which I’ve been pushing for some time now… a li’l help, please?? 😉
 
They seem very intimidating but they really aren’t that difficult to learn. It would be interesting to have a workshop at church I think one weekend and then have an entire liturgy in Slovainc. I’ve also pitched the idea to father of taping the part of the liturgy as well as some hymns in Slovanic and putting them on a cd to be offered in our parish library.

Katie, it should be spelled “Slavonic”. You switched the a and the o around. 🙂
