Another idea – from Isaiah 58…

6 Is not this rather the fast that I have chosen? loose the bands of wickedness, undo the bundles that oppress, let them that are broken go free, and break asunder every burden. 7 Deal thy bread to the hungry, and bring the needy and the harbourless into thy house: when thou shalt see one naked, cover him, and despise not thy own flesh. 8 Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thy health shall speedily arise, and thy justice shall go before thy face, and the glory of the Lord shall gather thee up. 9 Then shalt thou call, and the Lord shall hear: thou shalt cry, and he shall say, Here I am. If thou wilt take away the chain out of the midst of thee, and cease to stretch out the finger, and to speak that which profiteth not. 10 When thou shalt pour out thy soul to the hungry, and shalt satisfy the afflicted soul then shall thy light rise up in darkness, and thy darkness shall be as the noonday.

11 And the Lord will give thee rest continually, and will fill thy soul with brightness, and deliver thy bones, and thou shalt be like a watered garden, and like a fountain of water whose waters shall not fail.

I pray with Father Mitch (the Holy Land Rosary) in the morning before I leave for work. He goes through the Rosary very quickly though, so I have to pay close attention. His prayers are in sites that relate to the Mystery and it helps me to focus on what they are about.

.
I pray along with Fadda Mitch, too. 👍

Appleby, in your post you said that you had been advised by your Confessor to say three Hail Marys a week for the conversion of Mr. Obama and to help you to overcome your dislike for him.

As I have already told you, I liked that suggestion and intend to copy it. Today I was praying the “Rosary for Life” with Father Joseph Mary on EWTN when it struck me that this was the perfect Rosary to say for the conversion of Mr. Obama.:newidea:

I pray this Rosary every Saturday with Father Joseph on EWTN and I also have the DVD so, from this day forward, I will say the “Rosary for Life” three times a week for the conversion of Mr. Obama and, hopefully, this will also ease my extreme dislike for him and his ideas.

Thank you Appleby for the idea.:yup:

:blessyou:

Does EWTN have that Rosary available on teh innerwebs? Amazingly, after years of trying I can SOMETIMES access their live streaming and their archived stuff!

Sailor, I am not sure what you mean by the innerwebs but the “Rosary for Life” is prayed every Saturday on EWTN at 3:30p.m. by Father Joseph Mary.

Love your profile, even if I don’t understand a word of it.:rotfl: :rotfl:

If you go to the website and under the TELEVISION tab, you will see that you can get their live TV feed. Father Mitch’s rosary is at 7:30 a.m. and Mother Angelica’s is at 9:30 p.m. (Eastern Standard Time).

My dd the other night said…'Mother Angelica is so ‘beastly.’ This is a compliment, supposedly it means that she ROCKS. 😃 They will say…this or that person is such a beast, mom. (meaning they are talented, smart, incredible, etc…) I said…maybe we should pick another term though for dear Mother Angelica!;):o

The Rosary for Life, prayed by Father Joseph Mary of the Franciscan Missionaries of the Holy Eucharist, is broadcast only on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 p.m.

It is an anti-abortion Rosary with appropriate meditations; which is why I thought it would be the Rosary for me to pray three times a week and ask the Blessed Mother to touch the heart of Mr. Obama.:angel1:

I must correct my last post. Sorry, I put Father Joseph in the wrong Order.😊

Father Joseph Mary, MFVA - Franciscan Missionaries of the Eternal Word.

www.virtualrosary.com has a rosary that pops up on your computer every day with scripture for every Hail Mary. I like that one and Bread on the Waters has a great prayer page. They have a Scripture Rosary for Children that I do often with my kids and alone as well. I printed the pages of the rosary off and keep them in a binder for easy access.

I have the Virtual Rosary for those times when I am out of town and can’t get EWTN.

**I wish I could give up …fear of public speaking. :banghead:It’s so stupid. I had a mild revelation this afternoon, that God brought us to FL, because it will force me to get out of my comfort zone. (I didn’t do much public speaking back in PA, with same company)

I said to God…‘oh, should I be thanking you now?’

I really felt His still, small voice telling me…‘Just give up fear.’ :sad_yes:

sigh I have to do another speech next week, and I’m surrendering it to God. I guess when we fear things, we don’t let go, and let God, huh. :(**

Btw…youtube carries Mother Angelica’s Rosary…so if you have access to the internet when traveling, you can view it there! 👍 Did so last night with my dd.
