It might be best to look at the liberal majority as people who believe inclusiveness is the highest priority. Most other moral considerations are secondary, within reason. Although it may be frustrating to see people not acting in accordance with God’s laws, consider for a moment their priority. If you listen to them, many will tell you that they do not act for God and many do not believe there is any such being. They are not completely correct about not helping God in my opinion. In a fashion, the promotion of inclusiveness is based on the principle of love for neighbor. In many of their efforts, although they overlook the sin of the marginalized group, the greater effort to include them with complete equality promotes love and mutual respect. These two things are essential for society. But will the be damned for their sins?
Imagine, if you will, a society consisting completely of people who obey all of God’s laws in heart, mind, and body, except one 16 year old girl who is a cheerleader with homosexual desires. You are standing upon a high perch looking down upon a parade where the cheerleaders are performing. Because you have an open and gentle heart you can see the face of every girl very clearly as you look at each one in turn. You see deep abiding joy in each, except one. This one feels the pain of one who exists in an alien world. A forced smile does not hide it. Can she be fully included in this society? Can she be happy? Will she ever be with someone to have and to hold? The great desire you may find is to sweep these concerns aside and consider instead God’s desire for her to not sin. A blessing to care enough to consider his dominion but it isn’t a sin to consider and care about this lonely girl’s problem. It is a doosey.
Many liberals, as well as a whole slew of people everywhere, don’t even believe in God, so an argument about considering him sounds like asking them to put the girl’s concerns at a lesser priority than the man in the moon and your his prophet. That is frustrating, indeed, when you are trying to save the world or just one girl and no one will listen.
I grew up on the liberal media of the 80’s. Graduated high school in 91. Love, love, love, love, love. That was the ticket. It is much the same today for the young. The agenda was much the same. Include the blacks, the gays, the freaks, the nerds, the gothic (that was a contraversial thing then), and any group that was prone to bullying. We are all human. Love everyone. I thought it was from God. I still do and when I go to the Catholic Church they say the same thing too. Actually kind of weird in a way that the Catholics and the liberals agree on loving everyone.
It’s actually kind of confusing. Is the difference that the liberals want to love them as sinners but the Catholics want to love them as reformed sinners? Do you love the sinners? I heard God does but some people insinuate it isn’t going to last very long. Soon, and they mean real soon, God is going come back and punish the sinners. So which is it? Does God love them and include them or for how long? There is some confusion on my part about exactly what God is about to do. If I knew that then I could advise you.
