God and killing . . . help please

So my question is, why is God allowed to kill? I mean with the flood and who knows how many people died during the plagues . . . I know this has been asked before, but can someone give me a really good explanation of why He can do that?

PS - I’m not advocating any weird belief that the God of the OT is different from the God of the NT or anything like that, I’m just asking a question!
 
well, because He is God. He is able to judge and decide in ways which we can not fathom.

whereas we would judge and discern in a wildly limmited, narrow way, God being omniscient and just is able to determine such grave and deep matters as who sould die and why with a clarity and rightness which is always right, and always fair.

sometimes God wipes out nations or people because of their sin. sometimes bad things just happen to good people, as Christ points out in Luke 13:1-5, but we know that all things work together for God’s glory and His far-reaching and perfect will.
 
Life is a gift from God. God can give it when he wants, and take it away when he wants.

We are creatures, not the creator, so the rules that apply to us (10 commandments, etc.) do not apply to God.

Just as there are many martyrs who died for Christ, or more generally for God, there are many who died involuntarily for God. But what God has in store for us in the next life is beyond our comprehension. His mercy is great, his love is great.

Often there are people who are disappointed with God, because God does not meet their expectations. But they forget that God created us and judges us, not vice versa.
 
Worse than physically dying, would be **never **physically dying! – existing eternally on earth with a body growing ever more decrepit, but never enough to die.

Physical death was not part of God’s original creation. It resulted from original sin.
It is something we must all undergo in order to enter the next life - a life I definitely wish to enter.
God knows and loves each one of us tremendously, and He alone knows the most advantageous time for us to depart from the earth.
I for one, feel very secure leaving the time **and manner **in His hands.
 
So long as Jesus tarries, people will die.

But His Resurrection proves that death is NOT fatal. It’s not the last word.

He already has it in His appointment book when, where, and how I’ll be picked up to go to Him.
 
G-d knows all through all time, if he removes people it is for the good of all.

Christians should not need to be concerned, He sent Yeshua (pbwh) to teach Jewish people how to be for they had strayed. Yeshua (pbwh) also was shown that others are to come into the fold.

Yeshua (pbwh) not being all knowing taught us to pray to his Father, Our Father, his G-d our G-d.

IMO Christians are not called to remove that displeasing to G-d.
I know our Christian countries governments still do this in the name of G-d but i dont think its right or maybe G-d has personal inspiration to our “leaders”

Exactly! (OP) I wouldn’t waste any of your precious time on earth. Judging what God does. As a Catholic, I’m sure you are aware that there are certain conditions. Even for us, where killing is allowed. Also, I would point out that technically, God kills everyone sooner or later.
Thats something to keep in mind.😉
