So some days my faith is not as strong as other days. My two boys seem to keep me going when.
Examples:
My family and I were at a local cafe with some friends for my son Brady’s bday. We were about to pray and my oldest looked at his friend that was not praying and said “thank Jesus for your food!”
Everytime we go outside to play, my boys will go and kiss my statue of “Jesus’ Momma” No one ever told them to do that. They just picked it up on their own.
When I was teaching Aidan, my oldest, how to do the sign of the cross, I told him to do head–belly–shoulder–shoulder.
We were in Mass one Sunday, and my wife was holding him. Father said, “In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit.” Aidan said loudly…“No it is HEAD, BELLWEY, SHOULDER, SHOULDER…Fadder!”
Aidan is in the lying stage right now. I asked him a question and he answered with a lie. I knew he was lying and asked…“Are you lying to me”…he went and sat down in his timeout chair and started crying…I asked why he was crying and he said “because I made Jesus sad for lying”
Everyday my boys keep my faith strong when I fail at it myself. God has blessed me way beyond my desires and everytime I feel as if I am lost, I look at them and they show me exactly where God wants me to be. :grouphug:
