Why on earth would I want to forward a page to Catholics which claims that the NO is not a valid nor fitting liturgy? And the SSPX is in schism, the church has said so.Please read this webpage cora.dashjr.org/trad/tlm.html and send it to all of your Catholic friends and family. God bless you!

I brought extra butter!!!Hey Netmil(name removed by moderator) pass the popcorn.
Oh and yes God bless the Traditional Latin Mass. Guys we will never get boored here. There’s just to much to argue about, TLM vs NO, SSPX , Latin vs Vernacular, Valid vs Invalid ect, ect.
Fogny
If you actually read it, you might have noticed that there is no claim the N.O. is invalid. Why on earth would I want to forward a page to Catholics which claims that the NO is not a valid nor fitting liturgy?
The SSPX is not in schism, and that is a fact. BTW, I would caution against the idea that the Pope can declare someone schismatic and it being automatically so-- in that case, the Pope would have been the one to create the schism. And the SSPX is in schism, the church has said so.
The comparison was odious and frankly one doesn’t need a brick between the eyes to catch the clear inference that as a liturgy it is “inferior” and I suggest you consult with any good canon lawyer as to the pope’s authority to declare who is and who is not legitimately under the umbrella of the Church. If you actually read it, you might have noticed that there is no claim the N.O. is invalid.

The webpage says nothing about the SSPX. There’s nothing to fight about. You would want to forward it so that they can experience the joy DH and I experience every single Sunday at the TLM.Why on earth would I want to forward a page to Catholics which claims that the NO is not a valid nor fitting liturgy? And this is a problem how? The N.O. is at least inferior, if not insulting. The comparison was odious and frankly one doesn’t need a brick between the eyes to catch the clear inference that as a liturgy it is “inferior”
My point is that unless the SSPX were to do something to warrant such schism (which they haven’t), the Pope would be the one to create the schism if he can make such a declaration. So either the SSPX is not in schism or JPII is responsible for creating it.and I suggest you consult with any good canon lawyer as to the pope’s authority to declare who is and who is not legitimately under the umbrella of the Church.
I too experience this Joy every Sunday and Holyday at the TLM. So I know what you are talking about. The webpage says nothing about the SSPX. There’s nothing to fight about. You would want to forward it so that they can experience the joy DH and I experience every single Sunday at the TLM.

P.S. Please stop the rude comments about popcorn and fighting. They’re not necessary.
Hey, we’re only the peanut gallery.P.S. Please stop the rude comments about popcorn and fighting. They’re not necessary.
Why does his superior forbid him from celebrating the TLM if Rome told him he can?I too experience this Joy every Sunday and Holyday at the TLM. So I know what you are talking about.
Had an interesting conversation with my Priest friend today. He has been ordained 62 years. He is the Chaplain for A monastery of Poor Clares. Despite obtaining A “Celebret” from Rome authorizing Him to say the TLM, His Superior has forbidden it. And He absoulutely obeys. We were discussing the TLM, My friend says that if A Person were baptized with no Catechesis. If this theoretical “Person” were to assist exclusively at the Tridentine Mass. They would be instructed in every dogma of the Catholic faith. Just by attending the Tridentine Mass, so completely does it “Show forth” Catholic theology and truth. I completely agree.

Sorry. Sometimes I mistake sarcasm for rudeness. Yes, that’s what a discussion thread is for.Hey, we’re only the peanut gallery.
The phase, “getting out the popcorn” came from another website meaning that it was going to be an interesting thread with lots of discussion.
Isn’t that what a discussion thread is for?
My guess is probably “Spite”Why does his superior forbid him from celebrating the TLM if Rome told him he can?

If he gets discouraged, please remind him that blessed are the persecuted. Those who suffer for Christ are blessed. It sounds like he fits into that category. My guess is probably “Spite”
He lives in the Provincial Motherhouse of His Order. Out of 28 Priests and Brothers He is the only one who wears the habit.
Even though JPII said it gives “Witness to the supernatural”
You think that’s bad… there’s a big monastery of sisters nearby and none of them wear habits. Of course, they also claim that evolutionism is a Catholic teaching…:whacky:He lives in the Provincial Motherhouse of His Order. Out of 28 Priests and Brothers He is the only one who wears the habit.

On some discussion forums, just posting will “Bookmark it for a later read” Some people put bttt (back to the top) and some will add the popcorn comment to remember that it is high priority.Sorry. Sometimes I mistake sarcasm for rudeness. Yes, that’s what a discussion thread is for.
