Paragraph 27 of the Catechism starts by saying: “The desire for God is written in the human heart, because man is created by God and for God; and God never ceases to draw man to himself.”
I am wondering…do the stories such as The Flood and of Sodom and Gomorrah contradict this? It would seem to me that destroying men would be a ceasing to draw man to himself. That is, God ended some people’s ability to be drawn to him. I’d appreciate any thoughts on this.
