So my wife came up with an interesting speculation.

God does not exist in time but in an eternal NOW. The past, present and future are all one to Him.
The saints exist in heaven with God.From various writings it would seem that they also no longer experience time but exist in an eternal now.

From this it would seem that, for them, the resurrection of the body would already have happened as it is supposed to happen at the end of time and for them, time has ended.

Questions, comments, stories?

Text in revelation would seem to indicate that the Saints experience some sort of chronology, even if it’s not time as we understand it. They are shown as “awaiting” the resurrection and the second coming. If they were part of the eternal now, that wouldn’t be the case.

Also, the whole eternal aspect of it would prevent them from experiencing it. The saints are not eternal, and cannot comprehend or experience eternity. They will know what it is to have no end, but they will not know what it’s like to have no beginning.

I don’t think the concept of “time” will truly end. If there is change, there is time, and it’s my understanding we’ll still be moving about in our resurrected bodies (maybe I’m wrong?). Rather, “end of time” simply denotes the end of this “age,” if I can refer to it like that, of the journeying creation, after which everything will be regenerated and made new. It’s almost like a different stage of creation. But I’ll admit my knowledge of eschatology is lacking.
