God is forgiving, all loving, and all good.
There are good people that not only sin, but that are victims of circumstance and are unable to see the light of God for many reasons. They are angry, they are hurt, they are depressed, they are misguided, they are miseducated, they are indoctrinated, they are turned away. They simply aren’t given the same opportunity to see God that other people are. But are these people evil? Do they deserve eternal torment? Now, if you spoke to one of them, if you looked at their life, and they did nothing but good; if they saved the helpless, or even just brightened the days of those around them, do you think they deserve eternal torment? Could you look them in the eyes, those human eyes made by God just like yours, and tell them they deserve eternal torment? Even if afterward they would just smile at you and forgive you faster than some would forgive them? Would God do that, would a forgiving, all good, all loving God recognize the uneven circumstance and the unfortunate path they were human enough to follow, and sentence them to never getting to love him or be loved by him? Now, there are people that go home and hurt those around them, still forgiven every chance they can be, and they abuse their Christianity as if it is some badge or stage that makes them better and above everyone around them, or even if they are just rude and nasty and give nothing to anyone they don’t deem worthy of it. And these Christians are everywhere, go to any church and you will see floods of them. Nice in the House of God but giving nothing elsewhere. The self-righteous. All these people are rewarded and the good-yet-misguided are sentenced? Without ever an opportunity for even understanding? We create heaven and hell by separating the good humans from the evil humans. There is no defining factor of a good or evil human. Tell me there is and I will prove you wrong. Now, this is a lot of negativity and possible “sacrilege”, so let me get to the good stuff.
God is forgiving.
God knows.
God is above anything.
Does that sound sacrilegious?
God is above law.
God is above scripture.
God is above anything and everything.
If you do not believe that God is above scripture then you do not understand what Christianity is about.
If God is not above scripture, then either God is beneath scripture, or scripture is God.
Now do not only believe this but practice this. Read the Bible and question, does what I’m reading defy the definition of God? It might. There are moments where it will.
The Bible is wrong when it defies the definition of God. And don’t tell me it never does.
Believe in God above everything.
People would quicker question God than question scripture. I’ve seen it, time and time again. So often. People intertwine the two as if they are the same. “If God is all-loving then why did he do this (in the Bible)?” “If God is good then why does he do this (in the Bible)?” Do you hear? It’s as if every word in the Bible is Christian fact and God is the concept to mould and bend around it.
