God loves for us?

Can anyone give some examples of the often stated, “God’s love for us”. Examples that do not include situations where our parents showed us love by getting a college degree on their own to provide us with a bountiful childhood. Or a great summer that because of a chance weather phenomena provided a bountiful harvest. Some attribute all that to God, I don’t. I also can’t accept cures of some terrible disease that was accomplished by some advanced medical procedure by a competent doctor. I find the answer to that question from Catholics to be rather lacking. They attribute all those situations to God’s love. I attribute them to pure luck, being in the right place at the right time.
 
Are you familiar with the gospel of Jesus Christ? If you don’t believe that then there’s nothing to discuss about God’s love for us.
What is the point of wanting some kind of convincing on human terms?

I don’t believe in luck or coincidences. You’d have to find some compelling argument to convince me they exist. Therefore, there must be an explanation for things. I’ve been through too many harrowing experiences in my life I don’t care to detail at the moment that can only be explained by the grace of God. “Luck” doesn’t cut it for me. Not when I’ve stared death in the face.
 
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.

John 3:16
 
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Rom 5:8

That was God hanging on the cross, willfully suffering an excruciatingly humiliating and painful death in human flesh to show the extent He’d go to to prove His love for us, in spite of our sin and regardless, even, of man’s hatred for Him. That’s an eternal love, transcending whatever sufferings we, also, may endure during our temporary stay here on planet earth.

One day I was very hungry but I had no money for food. I prayed to God, “Give me this day my daily bread.” I got back from running an errand, and some people came from around the corner with two to go boxes of food. They said, “We got this but we don’t need it. Would you like something to eat?” That was some of the most delicious food I had ever had,

God works and reveals himself through the good of people, through their hearts, for without God there is no knowledge of what is truly good or any desire in the human heart to act on it at all.

Every thing that is truly good for us is a sign of God’s love for us.

Jesus Christ, who showed his love constantly while on Earth, most importantly in his passion and resurrection.
The Eucharist, renewed daily on the altars around the world. God with us, even to the end of time.
Life itself. Life is a miracle. A beautiful thing.
The stunning beauty of creation–the sun, the stars, the planets, the Earth and all the beauty in contains.
Everything is mine and yours in Jesus Christ. Love Itself.
 
The fact of creating the universe in order that all things would be restored to perfection and full happiness, after having gone through many terrible problems and sufferings, I have realized is actually the most perfect love possible to show, since it benefits everything in the highest way. It may be luck or chance that causes things to happen, as it says in Ecclesiastes, but even these are somehow made to turn to the highest good for all, so that finally as Jesus told Julian of Norwich, “all shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of thing shall be well.” Anything that is real is good and love because it is in existence, which is the Christian God.

In other words, can we force you to believe God loves us using just forum posts, when you really really really do not want to believe? And, just to make sure, citing just separate facts and not arguments?

No, I don’t think we can.

Forum posts are not tools that are useful for forcing someone to do something against his will.

So, now what? What conclusions are you going to make from the fact that you are, um, unlikely to be persuaded right now?

Alternatively, if that was a serious question, without a list of answers that are not going to be accepted, yes, all the good things done to you by other people or happening to you naturally are convenient examples. Ultimately the causes of all of them can be traced to God, the First Mover.

After all, if you mother gave you money for studies through a bank, you would not say it has nothing to do with her, even if it was the bank that actually moved the money between accounts.

Start relationship situations with God to discover His love:
  1. When a wave of depression comes over you, quickly think back to see if you had a thought that had made you guilty or regretful. Say an Act of Contrition and completely believe in His instant forgiveness.
  2. When frustrated by people in authority, pray “God, please come to my rescue and stay. Help me to serve. Amen”. You will be amazed at the strength you have to follow their stupid instructions to the letter, and the chaos that befalls those who had bad intentions for you.
  3. Be on the lookout for being set up for tempting situations. Flee from that person and feel the thrill of success.
  4. When alone, speak aloud, as you could have done to yourself, but preface each time with “God”. The clarity and creative solutions will flow.
  5. In the midst of something falling or other impending sudden accident, pray, “Praise God from Whom all blessings flow.” Then have the peace that regardless of the outcome, He has helped you and will help you.
  6. Like the sports players, realize that everything has a chance of failure. Thank God for the outcome.

When are you going to start believing God?
