Hey all, A & E is doing a documentary about four guys who are discerning the priesthood… One, possibly two of my friends will be in the documentary and I believe the Nebraska FOCUS team has gotten to screen the first episode and they said it was great.

Here’s some of what they’ve filmed and been able to comment on: World Youth Day, Foreign Mission Work, praying the Rosary in front of an abortion clinic, a Catholic college men’s formation house @ Ohio State U…

Here are the episode times:
Episodes #1 & #2 Sunday, April 16, 2006, at 9-11 PM
Episodes #3 & #4 Monday, April 17, 2006, at 9-11 PM
Episodes #5 Sunday, April 23, 2006, at 10 PM

Here are interviews promoting it (these are supposed to be friendly interviews but at least two members of The View are fallen away Catholics so there is some skepticism about what they’ll be asked)

Monday, April 10, 2006.
  • The Today Show (7am - 10am EST) on NBC
  • The View (11 am - 12:00 noon EST) on ABC
  • CNN Showbiz ??
The encore marathon will be Friday, April 21st.

I’ve gotten a chance to preview it with the FOCUS missionaries in Lincoln. It’s going to rock the secular media world!!! What a great show. We didn’t get to see how it ends, A&E hasn’t released the finale yet, but the rest is just simply amazing. I screened it with about thirty other devoutly practising Catholic university students who all loved it and are excited for all of the guys in it(especially Steve), for everyone who watches it, and the Catholic Church for the witness she will be giving for Jesus Christ! It’s going to be phenomenal! Also, the guys will be on TV tomorow morning Mon. April 10th, 2006:
Today Show 7-10am
The View 11-Noon
possibly CNN as well.

Support them by watching it, (times listed above) and praying for them. It’s really going to be an awesome show!!!

I started three identical threads to try and get the word out. I figured that by trying to hit a fair amount of topic areas more people might have the opportunity to come across it and watch the show. I’m really excited for it to premier, it’s pretty awesome!

THANKS for the information. I’ll set the Tivo. Are there any other recommendations of good shows to watch? I usually Tivo Mother Angelica, Fr. Corapi and The Journey Home, but I would really like some other good shows… Thanks in advance for any recommendations!
 
I would also like to add, somehow her name got cut off, that an Abby-somebody wrote the original top text and I just kinda added my little two sense at the end. Very sorry Abby. She knew of the official website for the tv program also, so if you happen to read this please give again Abby.
