Thanks for the link. My first initial thought about the show was, Oh great, an opportunity to bash the Catholic Church & the Priesthood … but after hearing the responses, I will check it out. If it is not going to be fair, we’ll know pretty early on in the show.

Yesterday’s Catholic Connections program had nothing but good to say about the series (the host was able to see the series already). I’m looking forward to it!

My first thoughts when hearing this were its about time something like this was done. This could possibly serve as a greater tool for inspiring men to the Priesthood than anything any archdiocese or retreat can come up with.

This is exactly what JPII talked about in using the Media to evangelize. Its a crime the Church got out of the business of producing religious content and working with Hollywood studios. They should rethink this position and start funding stuff like this or maybe have EWTN underwrite something similar.
