Good News!!

I went quite a while not going to see any mental health providers. I wasn’t taking my anti-anxiety meds like I was supposed to, so I had a little bit of a stock pile and I wasn’t worried about them. Until Hubby (Doofus) blindsided me and I needed to take them as prescribed. Well, that meant going back to the doctor. I FINALLY got in to see the psychiatrist today. (Back story: Hubby sent me home before deployment because I had lost my ever loving mind and shouldn’t be alone. He decided that he was donzo with me after leading me on during the whole flipping deployment. Was previously diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder, Panic Disorder, and Agoraphobia) Ok back…
I FINALLY got to see Doc. He started out by asking me why I stopped taking any bipolar meds and I told him because they never worked for me, I was on different cocktails and I was still crazy. He asked, “Did you ever think that the medicines weren’t working because you aren’t Bipolar?” :newidea: Wait, what? Well, after speaking with me and realizing that my “Mania” was my “normal” he decided to ask me TONS of questions. New diagnosis?

I have ADHD (totally makes sense with the way I post sometimes, huh?) and that I went through a Depression episode. Which is SO FREAKING WONDERFUL!! Like, I have been the happiest girl ever today! I was so worried about pursuing my original career plan as a nurse because of “being bipolar.” It will be much easier to tell a state licensing board that I have ADHD than a severe mental disorder.

I don’t want to sound horrible when I say this because I still love the man that I vowed to be with for the rest of my life, BUT life has been terrible for me, personally, for quite sometime and it seems to be falling back into place again. Maybe this divorce was needed? :hmmm:

That is a bit of good news. I hope and pray that things continue to improve for you.

Kendra,

You deserve some good news! I’m happy to hear you have a workable diagnosis now that with treatment will be of benefit.

Mary.

No. I don’t think that God is “putting” you on the right track.

I think that you were already on the right track, through a very devastating personal situation. 🙂

In charity, I suggest that you try to focus on the present, important personal matters, and strive to grow closer to the Lord each day, no matter what it brings (I try to do the same). He is the fulfillment of our deepest desire.

You have had my prayers for your situation to turn out joyful and the Lord to continue to draw you nearer always.

Kendra, I’m so very happy for you. Now with a correct diagnosis & appropriate treatment; you can look forward to a bright career of your choice. Let nothing stand in your way. Reach for the stars, you deserve the best. God is with you, He’s the only one that matters. I’ll be praying for you. God bless.

Very, very good!

Really good news.
And less ammo for him in the divorce.
You’re not loony! That shoots a hole in his whole reasoning. 😃
LOL
God is good!

That is good news!
I do have one question out of idle curiosity. You have mentioned that your husband “sent” you away or “sent” you to live with family. Can you explain this. Is it just a phrase for a decision you both made or did he send you away?

I’m wondering about that too. You think he planned to divorce you at that point? Perhaps this is something that could help you during the process.

This is a very complicated question for me. I didn’t want to leave, my psychologist even thought that I would be fine alone, even after the mental hospital stay. My mother was naturally worried about me, her being 8 hours from her baby, but she is disabled and didn’t think she could care for me like she thought I needed.
So, I stayed with me aunt and uncle (until the weekend he was supposed to come up and I came to moms) um, mom has let me know that if she knew that I was prescribed 5 Valiums daily, that I would have had my tail back home long before deployment. I don’t typically take 5 per week here, and I absolutely had to take them when I was with him.
So, it was kind of a consensus among family with him"advocating" for me.
My grandmother definitely thinks that when he put me on that plane, that he was done.
