God vs Imaginary Friends

Imaginary friends

are a comfort

to small children

who are too alone

or broken

or over-stressed.

Perhaps

they are a first form of God

in the life of a child who does not

know Him yet.

An adult

can similarly

have an imaginary friend

who is a first form of God

when you start trying to talk to Him

not really able to believe.

But then

you find Him

in his Glory, Majesty, and Might

and you know

that God

is no imaginary friend

but an Awesome Power

for the good.
