Which of God’s attributes are shared by Jesus and Holy Spirit? Immortality is apparently not one possessed by Jesus, He died, He did not know things that “only the father knows”, he suffered, God the father can’t suffer. etc I have no idea of the nature of the Holy Spirit. In all my Catholic education we spent very little time considering the Holy Spirit.

Jesus is God. The Holy Spirit is God. Did you mean to say “which of the FATHER’s’ attributes? That would be all of them. Is Jesus 'part God” and part human that you think that He is not immortal? Do you think Jesus the Son had a glitch for 3 days where He was dead and that consequently His resurrection and unending life don’t 'count" or something? The Holy Spirit is certainly more mysterious but there’s plenty to know about Him, starting right in the library on this site. Go for it.

John 14 devotes itself much to the Holy Spirit.

Jesus says he will send the Holy Spirit after his death (going away). The Holy Spirit is the Paraclete, Advocate, Counselor, Helper and Comforter.

Thus Holy Spirit can be our ‘lawyer’ and a comforter as well. In other word, He speaks for us.

What is He speaking for us? In the case for the apostles, it was about being witnesses for Jesus. What can they say about Jesus? Here, the Holy Spirit would speak for them. We see how Peter spoke about Jesus, the resurrection and what people should do. Peter spoke when he was interrogated by the priests or to the crowd.

We are called to be witnesses, and the Holy Spirit speaks for us and convicts our hearts. That we are sinners and therefore need Jesus.

The other aspect of the Holy Spirit is as a comforter. I guess this is the aspect of where the Holy Spirit ministers to us, or to the people through us as His instruments.

God bless.

All attributes of God are fully attributes of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit because the Father is fully God, the Son is fully God, and the Holy Spirit is fully God. The distinction between each person is found in their relation to one another. The Son is generated from the Father, and the Holy Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son by spiration.
