Since you didn’t ask a question, I’m going to presume that your question is “why do Catholics believe that homosexual activity is a sin, given that the OT prohibition against homosexual acts is also in the context of activity that we don’t consider sinful these days?”. Is that a good summary of what you’re trying to ask?
If so, you’re closely echoing the sentiments of Dan Savage, who this past week, at a talk to high school students of journalism, made similar remarks.
One answer is that Christians don’t believe that homosexual acts are immoral simply on the basis of the prescriptions of Mosaic law. There’s also the teachings of Paul in the epistles.
Another answer would be that Catholics believe that the apostles were given authority by Christ to lead the Church and authoritatively teach on matters of faith and morals, and they do so with the protection of the Holy Spirit. This authority, we believe, is passed down to popes and bishops throughout time, and still exists today. Therefore, as opposed to our non-Catholic Christian brothers and sisters, we believe that the Bible isn’t the only source of authority (although, to be certain I’m being clear, we believe that when the pope and bishops teach, they do so in a way that is in line with what the Bible teaches). So, when the Church teaches that homosexual activity is sinful, we believe that they do so authoritatively.
