No mention of sin… only “psychological baggage”… to feel better.

Interesting take on it…but at least it opens a door to explore the graces the sacrament of reconciliation provides us, if we just repent and believe. Maybe it’s a good thing that Lent follows Christmas so quickly, so we don’t forget about hte great link between God sending His Only Son, and Jesus’ great love and sacrifice on the cross to save us from our sins.

Let’s pray for our bishops so they will shepherd their sheep straight back into the folds, so that one day we may all share the promises of Heaven, opened to us by Jesus some 2000 years ago.

Pray first, last and always

Did you read the whole thing?
My mistake sorry.
Code:
On page 3 of the Letter, Absp Wurel
states, it is “difficult to do good,
to do what we know we should do”.
It sounds that he is trying to ex-
plain his way out of doing what he
knows should be done to straighten
out pro-abortion politicians.
Lets hope & pray that he finds the
way to do so. Archbishop Wuerl is certainly at home in teaching those who are already more than half within the Church and are willing to be taught. If bishops have to encourage, remind, even plead and beg people to ‘consider’ participating in sacramental confession, then we have reached a low point indeed. There used to be LONG lines on a regular basis for weekly confession, and absolute hordes of people lining up for confession during Lent–especially during Holy Week, and the week leading up to Palm Sunday. That’s the way my elder friends describe it.
