Hi. How does everyone get used to going to a new church, or going to church for the first time? I’m convert and am 16, and I’ve never been to a church since being christened, so I’m nervous about going and joining conformation group there.. I would be grateful for any tips, ideas, etc. Thanks.

Ask if there are any “new member welcoming groups” or something along those lines? 🤷

Good luck and welcome back to the faith! 🙂

Ask around your school. You will be surprised how many Catholics are out there and would love to attend Mass with you or bring you to their youth group!

Welcome my beautiful sister Amy!

First, you can watch mass on EWTN (ewtn.com/) or Catholic TV (catholictv.com/) or youtube and ask questions of your Catholic friends.

Call the nearest Catholic Parish if you are shy and ask them for help finding an RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation) program and some Catholics your age who would love to help you!!

When you attend Mass get there early and explain to the people welcoming parishioners that you are new and would like to meet with someone who could help you.

God Bless You Amy!!!

Sancta Maria, Mater Dei, Ora Pro Nobis Peccatoribus!
