well i am sworn in Louisiana now, having just taken the Oath Of Office, and have full arrest powers. Me and about 10,000 other police officers across the country are headed there at 10am today. plus 4000 more military police and 10,000 more troops.
IT’S TIME TO GET SOME INSTEAD OF TAKE SOME. i guarantee you we are going to take back those areas inch by inch, and mile by mile.
i am really, really fired up about this. The governor says the troops are “locked and loaded”, and as i know how i feel, my biggest worry is that is true.
i am ready to do some serious damage to those who prey upon the sick and weak, but i am not going there with the attitude “It’s killin’ time” like i have read about troops in several reports.
i had to sign a waiver releasing the Gov’t from death benefits for me because my 2 brothers are in Iraq, and the Sullivan act prohibits all members of a family children from serving in combat/disater areas at the same time.
i couldnt sleep much last night, and i thought id write a note here before i left. the officers in my detatchment were told to expect full combat conditions, and that some of us most likely werent going to come home. great pep talk huh? well, i guess i am gonna go see if i can scare up a priest for confession, and hope God doesnt see it as my time.
cant live forever, right? well, as R. Lee Ermy on Mail Call says, “Semper Fi: Carry On…”
