Going to my first infant Baptism in the EF

Actually, it will be the first infant Baptism I have seen first hand that I can remember (I’ve seen adults Baptized at Easter vigils.). Anyway, the parish I’m going to doesn’t offer the Mass in the EF (yet, they may be adding it soon), but the parents asked the priest to use that form for their child’s Baptism and he gladly agreed.

Anything in particular I should look out for or be prepared for?

Both my children were baptised in that form, and it took place after Mass. Most of it was in Latin, but the priest explained things as he went along. I think the promises were in English. I expect the amount of Latin used varies from place to place.

Thanks–the parents said the responses in Latin too for this one.

As an aside, as I said before, this was my first infant Baptism of any kind, and during the rite when the baby started crying, I immediately thought of St. Augustine’s explanation for that ;).
