Going to my first Latin Novus Ordo Mass on Sunday!!

OH!!! These are gorgeous!! Let me ask you though, do you think it would be appropriate for me to wear the Kippot style? I really prefer this style to most I’ve seen, especially This One. 😃

My DH doesn’t seem to see a problem with it, given that it is a head covering, and Christ was a Jew anyway! :rolleyes: But I thought I would ask those who have been doing this for awhile.

Waaahhhhhh!!! :crying:

I am not able to make it to Mass this morning at Grotto!!! :crying:

I have a horrible cold, and DH put his foot down and would not let me wake up early, to go out in the cold. :crying: Instead I will try to go to a later Mass at our own parish.

I have been looking forward to this ALL WEEK. :crying:

Guess I’ll have to wait one more. 😦 I need to get on the couch now, I can hardly breathe I’m so stuffed up and achey. Ugh.

That is one problem with the Grotto. It is kind of hard to get to. Right now I would have to take the long way since the Lodge is closed.

I have been down there a couple of times for Sunday Mass and a couple daily Masses. The problem I have with the 9:30 there is that they use a more complex chant. I prefer the more simple Gregorian Chant they use at the Noon Mass.

Also, if you get down there for Sunday Mass, check out the Shrine store in the old school. Alot of good reading and listening (Especially the cd’s by Opus Sanctorum Angelorum) material in there.

Grotto is about 45 minutes from me, but I want to try a different route, east on 696 then south, instead of taking 8 Mile. Maybe that will be faster.

I dragged myself to Mass today then came home to colapse on the couch after some Mrs. Grass’ Chicken soup (with extra noodles, of course). 😃 Feeling even worse than I did this morning. ugh.

Tissues and tea - it’s all I’m about today. :tissues: :coffee:
